Production of Lucy Berelovich, based on the works of Sophocles and Bertlot Brecht.

Music for choirs: Vlad Troitskyi, Dakh Daughters

Entrance fee - 200 hrn

Production of Lucy Berelovich, based on the works of Sophocles and Bertlot Brecht. After the success of the “Lucrezia Borgia” performance based on the Victor Hugo’s play, Lucy Berelovich, being young but already experienced director, got interested in a remarkable female theatre figure – Antigone. The idea of the “Antigone” production becomes obvious to Lucy Berelovich after her visit to Kiev in April of 2014 and the determinative meeting with a freak-cabaret Dakh Daughters. In order to work with “the most honest being that once lived on the earth” (Hegel), Lucy Berelovich chose texts from the classical literature, namely “Antigone” of Sophocles (441 BC.) and Bertolt Brecht’s works (1948). After almost a month of rehearsals in one of the Dovzhenko Film Studio halls, ten Ukrainian actors, among which are the famous Dakh Daughters, and one French actor, Thibault Lacroix, in addition, presented a magnificent story of Antigone under the creative direction of Lucy Berelovich. This beautiful and at the same time powerful performance represents the allegorical image of the whole country… Lucy Berelovich is a French stage director, which created a theatre and music troupe Les 3 sentiers together with Thibault Lacroix and the group of actors and musicians. Lucy Berelovich is the associate director on two national scenes of France, in the cities of Caen and Limoges.
